How do I use PayPal to receive payouts?

PayPal may not be available to all hosts as a payout method, depending on the country in which the PayPal account is based. You can see if PayPal is available to you as a payout method by going to your Account > Payout Preferences. Then click on the Add Payout Method button. You'll see a list of your payout and currency options.

In order to receive your payouts via PayPal, you first need to create a PayPal account. Find out more about creating a PayPal account in the PayPal Help Center. There, you'll also find information on withdrawing funds from your PayPal account.

Once you create a PayPal account, it is associated with an email address. When you select to add a payout method on Airbnb as PayPal, all you need to do is enter the email address associated with your PayPal account and click the Save button.

Your account's status will remain as "New" for a couple hours while the site refreshes your account. Then it will change to "Verified" and be ready to receive payouts.

Please note if you change your default payout method, all future payouts that are set to be paid to your default payout preference will be sent to the new default payout method.

We release payouts to hosts 24 hours after a guest checks in. However, the time it takes to receive a payout after it is released will depend on the payout method you have selected. You can check on the status of your payouts at any time on your Transaction History page, which you can find by going to your Account > Transaction History. If your reservation has begun and you're looking for your payout, read more about why your payout may take longer than expected.
